I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a tag on a brand new item that caught onto something that yanked it off. A tag gun is your problem solved.
I have easily brought many a beautiful sweater back to life with my handy dandy fabric shaver. I HIGHLY recommend having one of these guys in your reselling clothes tool kill.
It’s a great habit to use a lint roller before photographing an item to sell.
I use magic erasers all the time on the items I purchase for reselling. It has been a lifesaver with shoes, bags, and other miscellaneous items. Sometimes you can use them to remove prices from your items as well.
You need a clothing tape measure to save yourself the grief of questions about sizing and measurements. Be proactive when you are listing items so they will sell that much quicker.
This stuff is AMAZING for leather products. I have restored a Tory Burch handbag, Lucchese boots, and so many more pieces simply by applying this product.
In the age of the COVID, a hand held steamer is a great item to have on hand period to help kill germs and freshen items up a bit. It will also make your clothing items look really good without the need to iron. Quick and easy does it!
An At-Home Dry Clear kit is a great option for freshening up items without the high cost of bringing your items to the dry cleaners.
Sometimes you need to remove stickers and other adhesives and this Goo Gone stuff will get the job done almost every time.
Every once in awhile, you’ll need to fix a button or make minor tweaks to items before reselling them. It’s so nice to have a simple sewing kit on hand.

A ring light is such a simple and low-cost lighting solution. I highly recommend getting one with a tripod and bluetooth capabilities such as the one below.
When I brought in a lighting kit for my photos, it seriously changed the game for me. I went from amateur to pro in a matter of minutes.
Give your listings a professional look by using a mannequin to display your items.
Choosing the right backdrop for your aesthetic can be so important. This white brick wall backdrop is one of my favorites.
It’s also great to have a plain white backdrop so you can easily erase the background.
If you like to change out the backdrop or have a large space, a backdrop stand is so great. I had my husband build me one with PVC piping but if you don’t have a “handyman”, here is a great option.
Sometimes you just need a hook to hang your items to get the perfect image. This Command hook can hold 7.5lbs which is pretty impressive!

You will never regret having extra shipping tape on hand. I am a huge fan of this shipping and have purchased it time and again.
You don’t want to get stuck with extra postage fees when your packages are “overweight”. With a proper shipping scale there won’t be any surprises. They are inexpensive and can run off of batteries which is a major plus as well.
Using resealable inventory bags to store your items will preserve the freshness of the item and save you so much room when storing them.
Polymailers are thin, lightweight bags with self-adhesive closures that allow you to ship clothing items very easily. There are several size and style options but here are a couple of my favorites.
A Dymo thermal printer is a big purchase but it is going to save you a lot of aggravation in the long run. No more cutting and taping labels, just peel, stick and ship! It really is that easy.
A “thank you” sticker is a nice way to show appreciation to your customers for the sale.
When it comes to a printer, it does not need to be anything fancy. I highly recommend a wireless printer such as this HP Deskjet that you can connect to your phone though, it makes the whole shipping process so easy.
