Poshmark sellers have been given the opportunity to become a Poshmark Ambassador, which is determined based on a specific set of requirements within your selling account.

The Poshmark Ambassador program is very similar to having a verified account on social media. Posh Ambassador status provides you with the opportunity for more exposure to the Poshmark Community, which can ultimately result in more followers and sales.

Here are the Poshmark Ambassador requirements:

  • Community Shares: Share at least 5,000 items from other Poshers’ closets
  • Self-Shares: Share your own items at least 5,000 times
  • Available Listings: Have at least 50 available listings in your closet
  • Listings Sold: Make at least 15 sales
  • Average Rating: Have an average rating of at least 4.5 stars
  • Average Ship Time: Have an average ship time of less than 3 days

Once you meet ALL of these milestones in your Posh Stats, you may be invited to become a Poshmark Ambassador.

In Poshmark’s earlier days, it was a huge deal to become a “Suggested User” on Poshmark.

The SU status gave sellers the chance to have their “closets” promoted to get in front of new buyers based on the buyers interests and demographics (on the “wheel” as we called it in the Posh community!).

The thing is that not ALL Suggested Users were automatically rolled into the Posh Ambassador program. In fact, there were some requirements that need to be filled (as seen below!) based on your selling statistics.

From “Suggested User” to “Poshmark Ambassador”

I believe that the Poshmark Ambassador program was a huge success for Poshmark and shows they both care about the buyer/seller experience and want to give recognition to sellers who work hard to provide top-notch service to their buyers.

I am a visual person and love seeing the measurable goals given in a real-time chart.

Posh HQ stated in their official blog that the opportunity will also give Poshmark Ambassadors access to special opportunities such as access to fun programs and paid influencer campaigns.

If you aren’t sure how close you are to becoming a Poshmark Ambassador, here’s how to find out:

  • In the Poshmark App, go to “My Posh Stats” and you’ll see your “Posh Ambassador” Status.

I am loving the Poshmark Ambassador program and here are my top 3 reasons why:

Increase in Poshmark Followers Daily

Since becoming a Suggested User back in April 2017, I feel like I have had a fair amount of time “on the wheel”, averaging about once every 1-2 weeks.

Admittedly, I did not often see any sales during the times that I was on the wheel as a Suggested User.

However, I was happy to see that my following increased significantly, which I knew would directly affect my sales in the long term.

On those occasions, I would see a spike of 500-900 new followers from the Poshmark community.

Increased Sales Since Becoming a Poshmark Ambassador

I have had a more steady stream of sales since becoming a Posh Ambassador.

I feel as though this is a direct result of being suggested to others on Poshmark, especially to new users. This is why it is super important to maintain an active closet.

Poshmark Ambassadors Are Being Held to High Standards

I am very pleased to see that there are higher expectations being placed on the Poshmark Ambassadors to not only get accepted into the Poshmark Ambassador program, but to maintain their status overall.

I work really hard to give my buyers an experience that I would want if I were the customer, so it’s nice to know that is expected of other sellers in the community as well. It’s so important to provide great customer service.

If you are serious about making money on Poshmark, I highly suggest that you become an ambassador.

Have you become a Poshmark Ambassador and if so, what are your thoughts?

I would love to hear feedback from other Posh sellers on their experience!

PS: Do you sell across multiple platforms? Vendoo is an excellent tool and game changer in the world of cross-listing. With this listing app, you can post listings on Poshmark, eBay, Mercari, Etsy, Grailed, Depop, Tradesy and Kidizen.

Let’s face it, posting across more than one platform is very time consuming. But with Vendoo, you can list on ALL of them at once!

  1. Hello! I was searching for this all over the poshmark help page and didn’t find anything about it so I googled the question and your blog post came up and I thought I would ask you! At the bottom of the ambassador status there is a “love notes given” requiring at least one on record….so does that mean we have to purchase something to become a posh ambassador? No big deal if you don’t know the answer I was just wondering! Thank you for your time!!!

    1. Hi Chel! Yes, that’s right. They are requiring that Posh Ambassadors make one purchase and leave a love note for that purchase. I’m glad you asked because that wasn’t entirely clear to me at first either! Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m happy to help. <3

  2. Do you not automatically become a posh ambassador after completed the checklist? I completed all steps but haven’t had any notice of being accepted

    1. Hi Val! I believe that you will automatically enrolled (rather than having to apply for the program like we did with Suggested User). I’d say if it’s been a couple of weeks since you became eligible, reach out to Support! They’re pretty helpful for things like this. Keep me posted. What’s the link to your closet?
